We would like to collect examples of teaching practice in the field. These may be in the form of documents that you create relating to the teaching of particular subjects, or documents relating to the evaluation of methodologies that you have tried, which could be of value to other teachers in the field.

We would also like to create a collection of short teaching practice videos. You don't need to worry about quality here, we realize that most teachers, or their students, who often do the videoing, are not Hollywood movie producers and the facilities in the field are often very low quality. What we are interested in is providing samples of teaching practice for new teachers and for teachers who may be operating in remote areas of the globe (10 minutes maximum).

Below we have embedded some short education video-clips from YouTube to give you some inspiration. Thanks to their brilliant technology anyone can now be a film star. Besides the obvious entertainment value of the video-clips on the site, I believe that it has great potential as a global learning tool. We would be very happy to embed your educational YouTube video-clips on our website.

Rosy teaching his DES class

Jumpstart Science Lesson

The Pudgimelon Learning Center has a Jumpstart program every October break where we help give the kids a little head start on the next semester's class work.
Here is a science lesson from the 2nd grade textbook. Normally, when the kids get these lessons in school, they only get to see examples drawn on the whiteboard or pictured in their textbooks. This is OK, but it is not the same as actually being able to conduct these experiments on their own.
So here we have the kids experimenting with light and shadows. They learned how to change the size, shape and direction of the shadow by moving the light source. They also learned about the attributes that shadows do and don't have.
The important thing is that they get a bit of hand's on experience with this material so that when they see it in their textbook during the school year, they'll have a more substantive comprehension of the lesson
